| Members and friends of Drumsmith.com gathered at Chad Sexton's Drum City for some grub, grins, and grooves. Special thanks to Chad and store manager Linda McDonald for allowing everyone to eat and make noise in their store!
|  Located at 4723 Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood, CA, Chad Sexton's is a happening shop with a growing clientele of students, pros, and working drummers at all levels. More info at myspace.com/chadsextonsdrumcity  Smithies begin to mingle and eat.  Linda McDonald and Joe Correro, Jr. (Paul Revere & the Raiders, Al Jarreau, et al) enjoy some dessert.  Steve Holmes (HouseOfDrumming.com), Danny "LADanny" Kim, Tim "Chonson" Read and Kelly "Bradydrums" Brady at the stick bar.  A nice view of half the store, Jerry "Drumjinx" Jenkins and Dave "Davedrumdok" Rollans at left, and Max Wheatley at far right.  Dan "Drumwild" Snellenbarger contemplates an Oreo™ cookie while store owner (and 311 drummer) Chad Sexton smiles for the camera.  Jerry Jenkins, Joe "Paistecat" Nothern and Greg "Mendozart" Mendoza are deep in conversation.  Dennis St John (Neil Diamond, Roy Orbison, et al) and Joe Nothern talk snares.  Gerry "Hazelshould" Porter and Bob "Kanbasher" Hand. (I'm told that cameras now have 'red eye' control!)  Away from the chatter and chewing, Nick and Kelly almost found a moment alone.  Justin "Flam5adiddle" Robertson plays a great-sounding GMS/Dunnett kit provided by Jerry Jenkins (and formerly owned by Mario Calire.) At right is my Lord of the Bling 24k gold plated snare, and the Blaemire snare on the kit was made for me by Jerry.  Dave Rollans normally plays a left-handed setup, but sounded great on the right-handed kit.  Nick rocks out!  Since everyone else was playing, I took a turn!  Steve Holmes shows off some great chops.  Thanks to Mark, Erik and Jim who brought some melody to the jam!  Bass player Mark's son Justin holds his own amidst more seasoned drummers!  The obligatory group shot featuring almost everyone (sans a few stragglers, and Nick who took the picture!)
